It had a lot of intertwining scenes that I like.
The Rex who played Buzz Lightyear Space Command video game in the beginning, only to face a awaken Zurg near the end was beautiful. Also, to create a excellent momentum, having Zurg appear to face a awaken Buzz #2 in that chase scene to the elevator - it added life to a otherwise could-have-been-talky scene.
The cuts between the two parties (Buzz party, and Woody's party) were done very well. One party would say a thing, of which it would cut to the second party doing that.

Also, the villain being a side-character until the very end is pretty Pixar. They did a excellent job of that as well in Wall-E.
