I thought it was a interesting twist on the whole zombie genre. Instead of the focus of just living with big guns and marines, it was more of a focus on smaller guns and a general/scientist. The movie hits you with a semi-explanation that you fill in yourself in the beginning, then throws you in 3 years later. Once in a while, they'll throw in flashbacks. He is also trying to cure the 'zombies' because his blood is the cure.
I wish they had more flashbacks. The flashbacks were the interesting part. The scenes where the 'zombies' fall into traps are cool too. And the scenes where he interacts with a 'Wilson' character is fun. But the scientist parts were slow and undramatic. And the overall 'I don't want to live anymore' scene wasn't that well polished, nor is the drama in killing his dog.
A really neat action sequence is when the zombies fall through the ceiling and prepare to attack. That is so awesome.
